K-1 is a style of kickboxing that developed in Japan as part of the K-1 series of competitive events. K-1 combines the rules of Muay Thai and earlier kickboxing, where strikes are possible with hands, feet, and knees. Since there is no standing grappling or clinch, it is a faster and more intense style that involves continuous work through combination strikes.
The combination of all these components helps K-1 kickboxing style practitioners achieve strong physical fitness, endurance, and good stand-up fighting skills.
K-1 style kickboxing is inherently practical and easy to learn.
